“I really like that you talk about more mature stuff because most people who come in just tell us about name calling or pushing. I also really like how you get us involved instead of us just listening.”
“I really liked the Uberheroes coming into my school, and I read some of the comics every night before I go to bed to remember that the day after will be a good day. Well done Uberheroes® I don’t know if you will see this but keep up the good work.”
“The first comic really related to me about depression and anxiety and self-harm, I now know that I’m not alone and friends can help to pull me out of it. Sometimes I just don’t feel that way, some days I just feel like the pain is getting worse.”
“I didn’t really like either of the comics, they were really good stories, but they were a bit too close to home for me both times. Maybe if I read them in 10 years’ time I think I would have a very different outlook, but reading it now is still too sensitive. But please, please keep making more comics as these will shine a light in the darkness and will be a massive help for kids understanding all of this better.”

Niamh was upset as the storyline was very close to what she had and was still going through, she was crying and when asked by our facilitator if she wanted to step out, said “definitely not, this is far too important to me, I need to stay to hear what’s being discussed and said and if possible, to help others.”
“I like the drawings; the meaning and it really made me better understand why isolating myself is really bad for my mental health and to help me feel more comfortable speaking with others face to face.”
“I think the theme of Mikey’s story was very important and I am so glad that someone has shared their story on dealing with drugs as it is something that is so often overlooked and dismissed. I’ll be making sure to check the Uberheroes website and send in my ideas.”
