Parental Feedback

The comics being used to educate my son has made a real impression on his attitude to mental health, he has become more communicative to me about his feelings and worries since these sessions started in his school. This has made a lasting impact on not only him but on the family too.

The Uberheroes programme was used by my daughter to show me that she was experiencing feelings that she wanted to self-harm. I’m not sure she would have been able to do this without the help of these workshops within the school. We have now been able to get her to see the GP and she is speaking with someone from PIPS, thanks to the team at Hope 4 Life NI.”

We have had real concerns about the time our son is spending on his Xbox Live, who he is talking to and how his behaviour has changed over the past number of months. The parents evening has been really informative, and we are looking forward to how he responds to the comic workshops. We will be implementing some of the ideas given by the team during this session at the school.”

Many thanks for the workshop you delivered at the parents evening we attended at the school last week, we really enjoyed the session, there were a number of areas as parents, where we need to stick to boundaries – your helpful tips have started to be implemented and are really helping our teenage sons sleep which in turn is also helping his attention in school too.”
